Only By Touching Your Body

This piece emerged from my own extended reflections on "t4t", an acronym which originated in Craigslist personal ads and has become a political slogan celebrating love, sex, friendship and political solidarity between trans people. Although the text on this poster is my own creation, it was inspired by reading many other brilliant writers on t4t, particularly an essay by Jules Gill-Peterson in which she argues that "t4t can facilitate psychically real forms of sex change." This poster meditates on the magical - and deeply real - transformations which t4t intimacy can offer, as well as the complicated tension between attraction and envy, wanting to be with someone and wanting to be like them.

Each poster is a little different, and certain layers are more prominent in some than others. If you have a strong preference for a certain color, or for the top layer to be more or less legible, please indicate that via a note - otherwise I will pick one out that I think you'll love!
