6 Reasons To Do Trans History

$10.00

This risograph printed zine contains an essay I wrote this summer, after spending a few weeks doing research with Lou Sullivan's diaries at the GLBT Historical Society in San Francisco. My research focused on a Lou's own historical research regarding Jack Bee Garland, a transmasculine figure who lived in San Francisco a hundred years before Lou did. In his diaries, Lou reflects on the importance of that research, the emotions it stirred in him, and the role Jack Garland played for him as an ancestor and role model. My words are interwoven with excerpts from Lou's diaries, and illustrations of Jack Bee Garland that Lou found in his research.

Risograph printed at Robert Blackburn Studio. 5.5x8.5", 22 pages.
