Professor Refaat Alareer was a scholar of early modern literature, poet, and activist who taught creative writing at the Islamic University of Gaza. On December 6, 2023, he was killed by an Israeli airstrike at his home in Northern Gaza along with several of his relatives. Shortly before his death, Professor Alareer wrote the poem featured on this print.
All proceeds from this print will be donated directly to Gazan civilians attempting to survive Israeli's invasion and bombardment of the region, through online fundraisers and other mutual aid networks. $35 is a suggested donation, but if you would like to purchase this print for more or less, please reach out to me!
